Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Director Kim [Min-suk] manages to surprise at nearly every turn, setting up audience expectations and then gleefully knocking them down, one after another, like an intricate pattern of dominoes. May 9, 2020 Full Review Todd Gilchrist indieWire Writer-director Min-suk Kim creates vivid and complex characters that complement one another not just narratively but tonally. May 8, 2020 Full Review Maggie Lee The Hollywood Reporter Kim Min-seok's Haunters has more loose strands and gaping holes than an old fishing net. May 8, 2020 Full Review Al Kratina Montreal Gazette It's a real achievement in atmospheric unity, and one that that's as entertaining as it is impressive. May 9, 2020 Full Review Rob Hunter Film School Rejects In addition to two compelling performances and a storyline that builds subtly to a fantastic ending, the movie also benefits from a lively score that adds to scenes of suspense as well as it does to more energetic action bits. Rated: B+ May 9, 2020 Full Review Chris Bumbray JoBlo's Movie Network It's another solid example of how South Koreans can make good, mainstream entertainment, that's not afraid to embrace rich, colorful characters, and cross into occasionally dark territory. Audience Member Cheesy lines, average performances, cheap CGI, and half-assed plot with tad bits of interesting scenes - salvaging them from getting a half star. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The story is quite original and fresh! But also weird at the same time, as I do not understand why they need to be in each other way and kill so many people?!! It gets annoying watching half way wondering why?!?!?! Just leave each other alone! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member amazing movie.. I definetly will watch it again.. I didn't like the end thou, except that it was a GOOD MOVIE to watch ! :D Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member 2/10: A Korean rip-off version of M.Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable (2000). Even the costume color, the character's hairstyle, and character's condition (handicapped) are the same. Not worth watching if you have already watch Shyamalan's masterpiece. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member I really liked this movie until the ending. Like that damn red van, the main character took one hell of a beating. I also liked how his friends were a black guy and a white guy. You don't usually see those kind of actors in a Koren film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I can't say this movie impressed me, but Kang Dong Won did. I'm not a fan of him, but in this movie he was really scary and charismatic. During watching it I couldn't look away from his eyes. The role was played perfectly. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
