Audience Member Absolutely brilliant documentary on absolutely brilliant musician. This is a must see film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member The film is an inspiring look into the musical life of Rachel Flowers. Following her throughout her day from her home life with her family to a challenging bus trip to the Braille Institute, Rachel uses her abilities to navigate life while blind and to create music, one of her greatest gifts. "Hearing is Believing" delves into a life wrapped in unique and powerful music making. A plus for the joy of living life with purpose! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Great film... inspirational...! Beautiful music and touching story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A beautiful film documenting Rachel Flowers' progression from child prodigy to amazing young adult musician. Rachel is a multi instrumentalist and composer who deserves everyone's attention. She is at the very beginning of her musical career. She now has a great album called Listen, and you definitely should, and also view this film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This film introduced me to an astounding young woman who plays piano like Keith Emerson, Herbie Hancock, or Rachmaninoff; guitar like Zappa or Robert Fripp or John McLaughlin; bass like Jaco Pastorius or John Wetton; and several other instruments with equal mastery. More importantly, as a player, vocalist, and composer, Rachel combines her encyclopedic repertoire of classical, jazz, R&B and rock into a completely original, mesmerizing and joyful sound. "Hearing is Believing" is not flashy or melodramatic, but that seems to be the point: to show us how an unassuming young woman has faced daunting physical challenges to emerge as a musical tour de force on the global stage. Perhaps more importantly, Rachel reminds us of the vastness and mystery of human potential. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jun 15, 2017 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times "Hearing Is Believing" could have offered more insight into Rachel's experience, but instead it invests in the action of its title, including long stretches of witnessing Rachel at the piano and on various other instruments. Jun 15, 2017 Full Review Renee Schonfeld Common Sense Media Docu spotlights blind, musically-gifted young woman. Rated: 3/5 Jun 27, 2017 Full Review Jacqui Blue Film Inquiry Hearing Is Believing is a modern day version of the American Dream; not everyone has lost faith in it and some still believe it's worth pursuing, obstacles and all. Jun 27, 2017 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International The music prodigy in this doc is an inspiration, but this limited, gushy film is not. Jun 16, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
