Mood piece or not, this is an underrated Stephen King story. Beautifully and thoughtfully shot, I enjoyed more than the aesthetic and acting. It has a heartfelt story if you pay close attention.

Beautiful story, amazing performance, difficult to describe how special this film was. I see many reviews where they read the book first and weren't happy with the movie but movies and books are two different things. The average ratings others give is a shock to me and I strongly encourage anyone to take a chance on what I feel is a masterpiece. It's the kind of movie you have to listen to each line to appreciate the story or you'll miss something relevant. To my surprise, my 3 teen kids loved the movie and 2 of the 3 went on to read the books after watching the movie. It's now on our list of movies we watch again every once in awhile and in my mind, that's about as good as it gets.
