Vincent Canby New York Times Not as stylish has Flashdacne, though it is, possibly, funnier, especially in its climax. Apr 15, 2024 Full Review Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times Writer-Director Lawrence Dane make(s) Heavenly Bodies believable and involving. Apr 15, 2024 Full Review Anne Marie Biondo Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com The script tries to be clever, but doesn't even reach cute. It's merely simple. Rated: 1.5/4 Apr 15, 2024 Full Review Barbara Shulgasser San Francisco Examiner Dale is an emotional klutz and doesn't summon a single believable sentiment. Apr 15, 2024 Full Review Patrick Taggart Austin American-Statesman Heavenly Bodies is a lot like Flashdance, but with a lot less credibility, a lot less character, and with nothing like the earlier movie's clear, crisp photography. Apr 15, 2024 Full Review Robert Trussell Kansas City Star Heavenly Bodies essentially is nothing more than a bad Canadian imitation of Flashdance. Apr 15, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I love this movie! It's fun and has some good moments. Cynthia Dale is amazing and does all her own dancing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member 80s dance off movie. So bad its good. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member The film that took aerobics, a staple of early morning TV at the time, to the big screen. Three gutsy young women who are short on cash but high on energy open an aerobics studio that somehow becomes newsworthy when their lease is bought out. To save the club, the girls challenge the buyer's club to a "marathon dance off" for the lease. Laughable concept in the first place but it gets better with a press conference, tv coverage, and live radio reports during the competition. I half expected ESPN to show up to provide analysis in a postgame show. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It's survival of the fittest--literally--as rival health clubs engage in an aerobics marathon with the fate of one club hanging in the proverbial balance. Contains a fitting high-energy soundtrack with many montages of aerobics. I hadn't realized that legwarmers were acceptable for men to wear too. Sure to bring back fond memories of early-morning exercise programs of the 80s. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member It's the fitness craze that's sweeping America! Actually it's a very silly story about the trials and tribulations of a plucky Jazzercise instructor. The film is only worth watching if you are in a nostalgic mood for a film dripping of the 80s, from the Member's Only jackets to a bunch of 80s songs you've never heard before. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Cynthia Dale is rocking that leotard! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
