Shane H One of the best 80s movies ever! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review bobby a An underrated classic of the 80s Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/10/23 Full Review haylee d i've watched this movie, it's actually really good, i didn't expect to like it but i did, it has comedy and romance and that's probably the best mix, the acting was great, it tells a story and i personally think it was such an amazing movie, seeing how bobby felt afterwards and wanting to fix everything, and taking good care of lenny the way he did, he took care of the boy, and ended up becoming best friends. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It was kinda fun, totally goofy, mainly enjoyable ironically. Also, Bobby was supposedly from 1968, so why was everyone dressed like it was 1953
? Very weird choice, kinda distracting; I think a ‘cool guy' from 1968 would know what weed is Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Never heard of this movie nor ever seen the actors. Randomly came on after watching another movie on paramount+. At first when you watch it you'll notice it's an 80's movie, then you'll see the bad acting. BUT because of those 2 things, it kept me watching and it turns out the story isn't actually bad at all. Yes the acting is bad but I've seen worse. Really it's not THAT bad. The story more than anything I find is really nice and heart warming. I think if you happen to have the opportunity to watch it and nothing else, try it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Classic feel good movie about a young man's coming of age. You won't be disappointed if you watch it. Paul Attanasio Washington Post Everything about "The Heavenly Kid" is ripped off, from a sprig of music that apes the "Beverly Hills Cop" theme to Gedrick, who was obviously cast because he looks like Tom Cruise, but cheaper. Jan 3, 2018 Full Review Lonita Cook KCTV5 News at 9 The depth of spirit in this movie comes from good storytelling [and] sincere performances.
