10/21/2010 Simple, sweet, but mostly depressing Ken Loachian tale about idealistic love railing against politics and prejudice. Film marks the feature debut of docomaker Arefpour and adds to the burgeoning number of women directors in Iran. Nicely lensed and played. Its no world beater, but its simplicity is its charm. See more 01/15/2010 Refreshing, and heart-breaking. Refreshing, because teen romance has not been depicted like this before. Heart-breaking, since it jars you into reality, where love does not conquer all. Excellent use of color in the movie. Baran Kosari is a treat to watch. Her depiction of the character Mahi, and endearingly inquiring speech is difficult to forget. Watch it if you get the chance.
