Anthony R Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel takes the eerie world introduced in the first film and dives even deeper into the sinister mystery behind the Abaddon Hotel. While sequels can often struggle to live up to the original, this one manages to expand the lore and atmosphere of the first in a way that feels engaging and, at times, even more unsettling. It doesn’t quite hit the same groundbreaking mark as Hell House LLC, but it adds layers that are worth exploring if you’re invested in the story. This film builds on the original’s found-footage style with a new approach—featuring investigative journalists, conspiracy theorists, and paranormal experts drawn to the hotel. It adds a documentary feel that makes the events feel real while capturing the deep unease surrounding the hotel’s dark history. Hell House LLC II explores the strange events in more detail, but it smartly retains that slow-burn dread that defined the first movie, keeping you guessing about what’s lurking in the shadows. And speaking of lurking, Hell House LLC II doubles down on the disturbing imagery that made the first film so memorable. The ominous figure of the clown returns, along with other creepy entities, each positioned to make you question every shadow and flicker. There are fewer jump scares, relying more on atmosphere to build tension. The film makes a point to show how twisted the Abaddon Hotel truly is, with its labyrinthine layout and eerie silence working overtime to create an environment where every door feels like it’s leading to something you’d rather not see. While Hell House LLC II might not reinvent the genre like the original did, it adds context that keeps the story interesting and offers a few more moments of sheer unease. The final scenes pack a punch, leaving enough mystery to keep fans hooked and eager to dive further into the story in the next installment. If you’re already haunted by the events of the Abaddon Hotel, this sequel will drag you right back into its dark depths, reminding you that once you enter, it’s nearly impossible to leave the horror behind. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Ryan F Very good , really creeped us out watching the next film now Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review Jonathan G Probably the worst in the series. Dull, uninspired, laughable scares, and loses the appeal of the first. Very glad that the third bounced this series back the way it did. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/26/24 Full Review mike b It's a good movie and a good series. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/10/24 Full Review Jerod S Hell House takes a steep dive in the second film - with bad acting, cheesy backgrounds and effects. The idea isn't horrible, but the execution is. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Cassie D It leaned heavily on the popularity of the first film and still maintained some of the quality, but really just rinsed, washed, and repeated. It's enjoyable if you liked the first one, but disappointing after the fresh originality of the first installment. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
