Those expecting a game-changing horror movie may be disappointed, but viewers looking for an 1980s-style throwback that blends modern tech with some fun plot twists will find plenty to enjoy in Helloween. Go to Full Review

The passion for it is there in bucketloads, but given how lacklustre and uninventive this movie is, Art the Clown has nothing to worry about just yet. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 2 Helloween starts with a promising premise, opening with a young boy murdering his foster parents, hinting at a dark psychological horror. The first ten minutes are tense and gripping, suggesting a story that could explore trauma and the mind of a young killer. Unfortunately, the film quickly loses focus. The plot becomes disjointed, jumping between scenes with little cohesion, and the suspense dissipates. Character development is minimal, leaving the audience disconnected from both victims and antagonist. The young killer’s actions lack context, reducing the horror to shock value. Dialogue is awkward, plot points are abandoned, and the pacing drags or rushes inconsistently. Directorial choices fail to maintain tone, with horror, thriller, and drama clashing. While the opening shows potential, the rest of the film collapses into a B-movie mishmash. Helloween squanders its initial promise, offering some shocking moments but failing as a coherent psychological horror. It a disappointment See more rgb B Oct 25 It's ok for an independent film. It's worth watching. And the mother, Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott, is gorgeous. See more Omg P Oct 25 This movie is three times B - the first B for being a B movie, the second one for being a bad movie and the third one for ... there is no third. This movie has terrible audio, you need to up the volume to understand what characters on screen say and then the movie blasts you with random bad music. The main character was terribly casted. If they stream this movie for free and you don't value your time at all go for it. See more Brittany M Oct 25 I read an article saying this was the British Terrifer and I can’t say how disappointed I was watching this crap. The actress’s face was distracting because of bad plastic surgery and fillers and it wasn’t anything like the original Terrifer franchise. Pare looked embarrassed to have to act alongside producer Sothcott's frozen-faced wife. A complete waste of viewing time. See more Read all reviews
