kevin c A hot chick hitchhiking on a remote desert highway brings grisly deaths to those who dare to pick her up, a carload of friends heading to California may be the next victims. Idea of this is decent enough, and they do a commendable job with the gore for the budget. Just a little too low budget for what they're trying to do. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Cheaply made horror film that gets really annoying with it's slow pacing, pointless scenes, and overall bad taste. Lots of gore, stupid characters, and a below average plot. The ending was really dumb and unneeded. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Hell's Highway is an absolute disaster a film that is certainly not scary and not campy often enough to be salvageable as a guilty pleasure. Aside from a few unintentionally funny moments like bad special effects or an appearance by Ron Jeremy where he gets his penis cut off, there is nothing to talk about with this dull as dirt horror film. Despite some interesting ideas, the story is terrible, the acting is atrocious, the effects are laughable, it's slow as can be, and it's also quite boring. This should have been a fun horror film with its premise, but instead it turned into a total crapfest. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Hell's Highway is got to be one of the most "so bad it's hilarious" movies I've seen in quite some time. The so-called special effects were as good as a couple of corky high school freshmen would come up with. Lots of laughs. If you are looking for a horror to scare you, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for gore and cheese, this flick may just be the king. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member There's a story of a husband and wife who got stranded in the desert, and the husband killed himself to keep his wife alive, but she died because she had no water. Now her spirit is seen hitchhiking on the road, and brings death to anyone who dares pick her up. And that's just what a group of teens do on their way from Pittsburgh to California. And they experience a trip right to the gates of hell. To say this film was low budget would be insulting the low budget film industry. The "effects" - as they were - were simply terrible. The story was convoluted and confusing, especially the ending. And the acting...well, you can guess how good that was too. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie delivers whats promised and it has some campy fun it in aswell.
