What to Know

Critics Consensus

Critics say Here on Earth's weakness comes from its script. The story may appeal to young teenage girls, but it suffers from being overly sentimental and formulaic. The cinematography, however, is lovely in how it captures its Minnesota setting.

Emily P I liked this movie when I saw it the first time when I was in middle school, I love Leelee Sobieski I’m bias because she was my first favorite actress, but her character of Samantha in the movie loved Josh Hartnett’s character Jasper, she thought she was in love but fell out of love and she found her soulmate through Chris Klein’s character of Kelley. This movie definitely deserves a higher score than 17% but my favorite line besides them quoting Robert Frost was, “Some people live their whole lives and never fall in love…I lived my life and I fell in love. “ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/29/24 Full Review Steve D The cast do a good job but the story is poor melodrama. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member What on Earth would have been a better title. Sweet Jesus. This was a terrible film. Pretty strong leading cast, "mates" that all looked the same, nice camerawork .. and a god awful story. Truly terrible. She falls for the rich block cause .. literally no idea. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice romantic movie to see! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member not so good.. The girl has cancer in the leg? Come on? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Possibly the most frustrating movie I've ever seen. Even the trailer sucks. Why would anyone go see this after seeing the preview!? I got dragged kicking and screaming into it by my stupid ex girlfriend and may as well have had to get carried out in a body bag... I wanted to die after seeing this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
