Owen Rinard (Eric McCormack) manages a retirement home in the state of Washington. He takes his job seriously and, thanks to a set of strict rules, keeps the home running like clockwork. When a resident named Gus (James Whitmore) requests permission to organize a fishing trip to British Columbia, Owen cites the rules and refuses.
