This TV movie chronicles the real-life survival tale of Ralph Flores (Edward Asner) and Helen Klaben (Sally Struthers), who lasted 49 days in the wilderness with no food and no shelter. After Ralph loses control of the tiny plane he is piloting -- his sole passenger is Helen -- he sets down in a desolate area of the Yukon. Subsisting almost entirely on water melted from snow, the pair overcome insurmountable odds as they try to alert overhead planes to be rescued.
