A heart-slowing work of staggering stupidity and charmlessness, ineptly made and quite frankly dull except when its flaws become so egregious you can’t help but guffaw. Go to Full Review

T here’s uninspired, sloppy plotting and a flaccid script, which is exacerbated by woefully inept direction. Go to Full Review

The script, again, remains lacklustre, even if the cast have more of a handle on their characters - and Travolta is clearly enjoying himself. Go to Full Review

Despite the offbeat cast, this comical caper is produced in a generic style, complete with thrumming musical score and snappy plot twists. Thankfully the tone is raucous and irreverent enough to hold the interest. Go to Full Review

Like its predecessor, 'Cash Out,' this heist thriller is almost good, provided you can turn off your brain. It's light and likable, but it takes too many shortcuts and drops the ball too often. Go to Full Review

Micky B E @MovieBuff178 Jan 7 For the first time EVER in watching films, this movie is so bad that I have looked online for reviews 53 mins into the film, It's the worst role (and acting) from John Travolta with a weak, badly put together cast. The general idea of the film is dated and boring but executed so poorly that every line feels cheesy and over acted. We're in an age where films and TV series and being produced at a very high level - the only way this film is classed as 'Good' is if it came out in the mid 90s. Looking back at films such as "Face Off" I cant believe Travolta read this script and agreed to it. See more Graeme T @Slimfellow Jan 5 Utter pish. You know as soon as his missus gets dragged off, and John Travolta has a guy's hand on the back of his head, pushing him into the sand and Travolta still manages to look up, that it's going to be utter nonsense. It's like they made a casino film called "Ocean's Nincompoopery". Yeah, Mason! The thrills were not multiplying in this debacle, mate. See more Liam D @Mediawatcher2003 Jan 2 The sequel to the movie no one ask for to the film no one knows about. John Travolta needs to stop appearing in these cheap geezer teasers produced and now directed by the sleazy Randell Emmett See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 31 High Rollers is a casino thriller that never finds its footing, despite a premise that should naturally deliver tension and intrigue. The film feels confused from the start, unsure whether it wants to be a slick cat-and-mouse game or a straightforward crime drama, and that uncertainty bleeds into every scene. John Travolta, once a commanding presence, feels disengaged here, offering a performance that lacks energy or menace. Instead of anchoring the story, he drifts through it, adding to the overall flatness. The screenplay is the film’s biggest weakness. Plot threads are introduced without clarity, motivations remain muddy, and supposed twists land without impact. Rather than building suspense, the narrative becomes exhausting, forcing the viewer to work just to understand what’s happening. Direction doesn’t help, as pacing is sluggish and technical elements like lighting and sound feel off, draining the casino setting of any glamour or danger See more Fabrice C @Fab12 Dec 29 From the get go I became dubious, the cheap decor and CGI made me wary of what was to come as it looked cheaply made, well! I wasn't wrong, everything from the acting to script to decor screamed low budget, I tried to watch it but kept zoning out, you couldn't help but compare it to one of the Ocean film although it looked like a bad reproduction/copy of it, the one where they had to repay the debt, unfortunately for this film everything I just mentioned made it a total failure. See more simon b Dec 28 i am pausing this, after less than 15 minutes... i'll give it ONE more try tomorrow See more Read all reviews
