Quavo
Hip hop and trap recording artist Quavo found success as one of the founding members of the rap trio Migos. Born April 2, 1991, in Lawrenceville, Ga., as Quavious Keyate Marshall, Quavo grew up with close ties to his family, including the other two future members of Migos: Offset is Quavo's cousin, while Takeoff is his nephew. Quavo played football at Berkmar High School and was a starting quarterback for the team before dropping out of school prior to graduation. Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset formed their hip hop trio in 2009. Originally known as the Polo Club, they renamed themselves Migos after Polo clothing became less stylish. They released their first full-length mixtape, titled "Juug Season," in 2011, and followed it with another mixtape, "No Label," in 2012. The group had their first hit with the release of the single "Versace" in 2013, which reached No. 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 31 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Their first studio album, "Yung Rich Nation," was released in 2015 and charted at No. 17 on the Hot 100 chart, No. 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop, and No. 3 on the Rap chart. Their second album, "Culture," released in January 2017, reached the No. 1 spot on all three charts. Thanks to the group's success, Quavo has also been featured on several hit songs by other artists, including "I'm the One" with DJ Khaled and Justin Bieber, and "Portland" by Drake. He was also featured on the hit collaborative song "Champions" in 2016, alongside Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Yo Gotti, and Desiigner, which was certified gold by RIAA. Quavo has also appeared as himself on the acclaimed TV show "Atlanta" in the episode "Go for Broke."
