It does seem to wrap up the story of Duncan MacLeod a bit, but then again, the original film did that.

Highlander: The Source as a "bad dream" Duncan had total crap "The worthwhile days of Duncan MacLeod, it would appear, are officially over—dead, decapitated, and depleted of their power. Brett Leonard is a very sorry director, horrible. Skip this garbage and just watch the series.

OK.....let's get something straight I liked this movie until the ending. All of the characters died just so Duncan can get his girlfriend pregnant. They don't even save the world at the end they just completely ignore that part! They had a lot of good characters but the final act fucks it all up. One guy randomly turns evil which makes no sense with context. They completely ignore another character and don't even bother showing if he dies or not. There's just so much wrong with the ending.
