The freedom of self-expression that Veera experiences is believable, as is the tortured resignation of Mahabir, before he allows himself to be transformed. I found it very moving. I encourage Westerners to watch this. The dialogue is minimal so the subtitles are easy to follow. And it has overarching subjects of a spectacular road movie: but had the treatment got in rhythm with the sync and the emotional coherence was lovelier than the warmth of romance: it could have been a better film.
