Audience Member Awful. It was pulled from theaters almost immediately due to inaccuracies. The film produced the reverse of the producers desired effect. Could anyone trust the film industry after this fantasy monstrosity? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I am a history buff, watching war movies gives a small window to see! This movie has many strong points but also has weaknesses, the directing is one of them!!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member "Wants us to think of Hitler as a victim of his own sexual repression." Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member bad...stiffly acted...built around a premiss that all of Hitler's problems could be tied to his affection for his mom...to be avoided Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member It seems improbable that a nuanced biopic of Adolf Hitler will ever materialize, at least within this lifetime. To be fair, the wounds from the Third Reich are still fresh, which means that any attempt at even-handedness seems doomed to incur the wrath of the politically correct and the uber-sensitive. However, "Hitler" (1962) will never be remembered as the definitive biography of one of the world's most infamous dictators. Nor should it be: "Hitler" is a dismissive, denigrating picture. How can we ever hope to understand the past when filmmakers are content to succumb to hyperbole and psycho-sexual cop-outs in telling such an important story?
