Korra N Timothy Olyphant is brilliant and gives the role his all, but the movie itself is just mediocre. Worth a look for fans of the game or of action movies. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Ron G I get it. its a trashy B movie. But I liked it!. I watched the whole thing and I enjoyed it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Jacob B Honestly, as far as video game movies go, Hitman is honestly just there. It doesn't do anything remarkably well or remarkably poor, it's just, at its core, a movie that exists. Timothy Olyphant does deliver a good performance (I didn't see bald Olyphant, I saw Agent 47), the action's fine and while there isn't a heavy emphasis on stealth, there is at least an in-story justification that there are people actively gunning for him. Can't say I cared much for the film's attempts to ship 47 with Olga Kurylenko. It felt rather silly seeing how a professional assassin like him does not strike me as the kind of guy in search of a girlfriend. Even without taking the source material into account, this didn't sit right with me. Of course, there are other absurd moments such as Desmond from Lost conveniently leaving the firearms loaded for 47 and a fight scene against his fellow hitmen that's never brought up again. But on the whole, Hitman is just another action movie that felt to me like it was gunning for the 24/Bourne crowd that only stands out because of the IP it's adapting. I wonder if the 2015 reboot is as absurdly bad as fans of the game say it is. Guess I'll find out soon enough. Why they kept this film's screenwriter for that film, especially since it was following the cinematic disaster that was Die Hard 5 (script penned by the same guy), is a mystery to me. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/25 Full Review David D One of the better game to movie vanilla translation. Hey, have you seen House of the Dead? Hitman is Oscar worthy in comparison...but only comparison. It's by the numbers and leaves you caring little. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/06/25 Full Review James B I honestly find the movie absolutely spectacular and a great way to show Agent 47's origins, to people who have never played the Hitman series should try that out then watch this because honestly I'm sick of the grown men on here who rate good movies 2 stars because of the "violence" Do me a favor and read the description of the word "Hitman" for me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/02/24 Full Review Gorptholemew T 🍀 4.6/10 Timothy looks unnatural with a bald head, God did not intend this man to be bald. Hitman would work 10 times better as an episodic TV show with each episode being a different contract like I’m I right?. A few cool shots but just super rushed and messy movie. Still it is entertaining. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Read all reviews
