Based on the popular video game, Hitman is an action-packed (if not somewhat generic) film that's entertaining and fun. The story follows an elite assassin who's been contracted to kill the Russian President, but things go sideways when he discovers that he's been betrayed by his employer and setup to be killed. Starring Timothy Olyphant, Olga Kurylenko, and Robert Knepper, the film has a good cast. And, the action sequences are exciting and suspenseful. But the plot is formulaic and the characters are standard action film stereotypes. Still, for a shoot 'em up thriller, Hitman gets the job done.

This can't even qualify for guilty pleasure, this is a poor film that deserved to disappear. The team up of Gens and Olyphant is a clear issue, the later can't even must a likable screen presence. The Hitman game is brilliant but what they choose to do with the film adaption is moronic. Video games are a hard thing to adapt only because filmmakers don't respect the property, they think they need to create a whole new storyline. Most of us just want to see the storyline sharpened to two hours without the fourteen hours normally required. They have botched Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, Warcraft and Max Payne to name a few. The reboot didn't fair any better and I think its mishandling that 's destroying the brand. THis had unlimited potential and it's a shame it fails on every front. What the hell is with the storyline? I caught this on first release and thought it was okay but on reflection, there are a million better films out there. 15/07/2018.

Hey, it's another girl with a dragon tattoo! What are the chances? Don't you think the bald heads with the barcodes shown off to the world are a bit obvious. All you need is one person to figure it out and this whole gang would be wiped out pronto. <p>Pretty ridiculous -- although I did like the bit about the kids actually playing the video game in the hotel room. Some nice action, some poor story. Walter, if you're in the mood for a little intense killing, I'd check this one out.
