This is an engaging horror film that could've been a little better. Go to Full Review

The messaging is a little heavy handed and repetitive at times, but thanks to its candy-colored production design, evocative sound design, grotesque scabby yellow make-up, and prowling camerawork, Hive is a solid watch. Go to Full Review

...based on a short film by the same filmmaker. It doesn’t work very well, which is a shame. The actors deliver good portrayals, and the special effects are good, but the story is too weak. Go to Full Review

winter S. @RT16524988 1d I don't know why everyone is hating on this movie but I loved it. See more Danielle C. @DaniELLIE 3d Done with everything being racist toward white people and completely woke See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Apr 24 Hive (2026) is a horror film that feels far smaller and weaker than it should. What could have been a tense and unsettling experience ends up feeling bland, lackluster, and ultimately forgettable. It never fully commits to its premise, which makes the entire film feel like it’s holding back instead of delivering real impact. There are moments that show potential, especially the eerie scenes with the children moving in unison. Those moments create a brief sense of discomfort and hint at something more powerful beneath the surface. Unfortunately, the film never builds on that tension. Instead, it drags things out, losing momentum and making the story feel less important as it goes. The biggest issue is the lack of payoff. The film doesn’t deliver the emotional or psychological weight needed for a strong horror experience, and it never fully pulls you in. Overall, Hive is a disappointing horror film that fails to leave a lasting impression and is easy to forget shortly after watching.
