Hocus Pocus 2 made me laugh, often uncontrollably, and it made me misty-eyed by the end. That’s all I ask from films like it, and I can’t wait to see it again with my friends. Preferably in costume, with candy, and then again every year afterward.

Does not do the original justice. The original was REALLY funny, and it was very DARK, scary, and sexy. The tone of this feels akin to a buddy cop movie. As a lover of the original I don’t really understand the choices. I watched the original when I was 8 and I was obsessed! I felt like they watered this down for a loose idea of what they think a pampered tween audience would like, which I don’t think was successful.

This may be one of the worst movies I have ever watched, especially when comparing it to the original. The Sanderson Sisters lacked the same fierceness or spooky energy. The story lacked a compelling plot and I repeatedly cringed while watching. It had a lot of lame PC mantras throughout. I almost didn't make it through. It was that bad. I am astounded Disney is making a third. Just put this series out of its misery and bury it.
