Overloaded with quirk and recycled twists, Holland's impressive style can't paper over a hollow script.

Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) Rather than carefully weaving Coen-esque absurdity with Hitchcockian thrills, it jumps from one to another without care. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 22, 2025 Full Review Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) The journey there is worth taking, but it’s hard not to wish that Holland had gone a little madder, or attacked its themes a little harder, rather than building itself such a neat escape route. Rated: 3/5 Apr 4, 2025 Full Review Clarisse Loughrey Independent (UK) Andrew Sodorski’s script, which has bounced around Hollywood for a decade, has come out a half-baked mess. Cave’s role is to toss a layer of visual irony over it all and hope no one notices. Rated: 2/5 Apr 1, 2025 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Nicole Kidman tries her best to make a movie you would want to visit, but just doesn't quite make it. Rated: 5/10 Apr 16, 2025 Full Review Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene Mimi Cave’s film flounders in a stylistic miasma. Not quite comedy. Not quite thriller. No edge. No commitment. Rated: C Apr 15, 2025 Full Review Ruben Peralta Rigaud Cocalecas Nicole Kidman shines amidst the confusion, but neither her talent nor her visual style are enough to save a story that gets lost in its own labyrinth. Jean m I was really looking forward to this movie, given the calibre of the actors but found the storyline mostly boring until we find out the husband is a serial killer. Given the evidence against him the husband would have easily been put in jail. It's just lame. The character's could have been fleshed out but no it was still tedious to watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/08/25 Full Review Gage H The acting in this movie is great & this Nicole Kidman resurgence is now something I am on board for. While the plot is interesting & the misdirection is fun to investigate.. the pace of the move followed by some lack of detail may lose some people. If you’re not in a rush, this is a fun watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/30/25 Full Review Christian K A stale, small town thriller that plays it straight down the middle for its duration. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review A.L.Jude P One step up and the next stage two steps back... Someone wrote the script where he/she was nor belonged and the movie is all over the place. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Bradley M It's suspicious! Very suspicious. Worth a nice afternoon view. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/23/25 Full Review filipe d O filme é lento, cansativo e nada surpreendente. Um roteiro fraco. Entrega muito pouco e deixa a sensação que perdi uma hora da minha vida.
