My so and I both thought it was very lazy writing. It also made it hard to watch because I really like some of the actors. I do not want to give the movie away but it had way to many slow points. They definitely needed to show more chaos. It's like they did no research. They lead you to believe that Calabasas is on the water front which it is not. If I knew it was going to end the way it did. I would've stayed home and waited for it to show up on Netflix. This is no way to try to get money from me regardless what I get in return . If they wanted such an outcome, it should've had a lot more action packed scenes. There was so much missing. Things didn't add up some things made no sense at all. I don't know Bots are responding to these post versus real people but anyone who knows anything about California and the way this movie went down can see a lot wrong with it. It almost felt like a 1970s after school special which is not what I paid money for.. again very disappointing. It thought provoking but we have seen similar Apocalyptic shows. At the end of so called Movie it shows up come scenes of episodes to come. Plus it tells us to scan for free tickets for friends which is really you buy them and give to friends. Save your Movie money and wait for this to stream. Watch the additional on-line episodes which will fill in some of the missing storyline. If you just want to watch a movie without the movie studio forces unwanted and an unnecessary "messaging" into the plot, then this is a movie for you. Contrast this movie to the one with Kirsten Dunst in it where they show the ugly side of humanity, this movie does the opposite. Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/24/24 Full Review Skooter M The beginning sets the tone although they could’ve done more to explain the sequence of events that led up to the catastrophe and why. You get a quick view of the event at the beginning of the movie then it starts quickly into the preparation and sequence of catastrophe’s that lead up to homestead. IT IS A MUST WATCH MOVIE BECAUSE IT WILL PREPARE YOU IN A WAY TO BE A MUCH MORE PREPARED Individual IF SOMETHING LIKE THIS EVER HAPPENS. The acting is amazing and none of the actors except for NEAL MCDONOUGH HAVE I HEARD OF….still top notch acting and none cheesy story lines.
