Audience Member So a random guy shows up in a hotel, and within 10 minutes is already kissing on an employee and they mutually fall in love? If that was the only unbelievable leap this movie took, I might let it pass as an artifact of old Hollywood. But, for a detective movie, the implausible leaps of logic that are necessary to movie the story forward are truly remarkable. Further, the dialogue, particularly between Douglas and Alda in the desert, are equally feeble and pathetic. A throw-away movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly good, given low budget and absence of major stars. Not sure why you'd hire a Brit to play an american cop (his accent keeps peeking through), but the plot almost adds up, the dialogue is entertaining. If you bought cheap paperback detective novels fifty years ago, you'll recognize the flavor of this work immediately.
