Helen Westcott found success as an actress early on, when she was just six years old. In 1953, she appeared in "Abbott and Costello." Westcott began her acting career appearing in various films, such as "Thunder Over Texas" (1934), "Henry Aldrich For President" (1941) and "13 Lead Soldiers" (1948). She also appeared in the Virginia Mayo crime picture "Smart Girls Don't Talk" (1948), "Adventures of Don Juan" (1949) with Errol Flynn and "Flaxy Martin" (1949). She continued to act in productions like the dramatic adventure "Three Came Home" (1950) with Claudette Colbert, "The Gunfighter" (1950) and the Glenn Ford western "The Secret of Convict Lake" (1951). She also appeared in "The Battles of Chief Pontiac" (1952) with Lex Barker. In the latter part of her career, she continued to act in "God's Little Acre" (1958) with Robert Ryan, the Arthur Franz sci-fi flick "Monster on the Campus" (1958) and the Spencer Tracy dramatic adaptation "The Last Hurrah" (1958). She also appeared in the western "Day of the Outlaw" (1959) with Robert Ryan and the dramatic adaptation "Studs Lonigan" (1960) with Frank Gorshin. Westcott last acted in "Pieces of Dreams" (1970). Westcott passed away in March 1998 at the age of 70.
