David Keyes Cinemaphile.org How refreshing that a filmmaker finally came along to audaciously ask the questions that needed some level of emphasis. This is a film as relevant as it is sobering. Dec 22, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

M M The ending is why there is now a 5-second delay rule for live broadcasts. No opinions, not two sides. Shows the devastating side of corruption. Relevant to today even more than ever. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/02/24 Full Review Aaron C. Poorly made documentary which features only Dwyer's family, friends and one ex-colleague. The writers put forth some ridiculous conspiracy theory that Dwyer was politically persecuted (even though the Justice Department investigated the case over a 6 month period and proved such a conspiracy never took place, and journalists, who even admitted to liking Dwyer, could not find any evidence of a conspiracy). They also say the jury was full of high school drop outs who wanted a break from work who didn't understand the case (another false claim). They examine none of the incriminating evidence against Dwyer (and there was a tonne of it). The simple truth is, Dwyer took the bribe and thought he would get away with it. Incidentally, Dwyer was also involved in a scam in 1981, his campaign manager and close friend Fred McKillop was involved too, and was fired for his part in it. Mckillop is in this documentary singing Dwyer's praises (surprise surprise!). Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/23/20 Full Review Audience Member A highly biased documentary that appears to have been made by supporters of R. Buds Dwyer. Nothing I have seen clears the man, a 90 minute character piece, quite one sided. The last line of his suicide letter is quite a gut punch.
