Devlin E This is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, but big. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/23/23 Full Review matthias s "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid" is a fun and lighthearted family comedy that delivers a few laughs, but ultimately falls short of being a truly memorable film. The special effects, while impressive for the time, have aged poorly, and the story feels a bit formulaic. Despite these shortcomings, the performances by Rick Moranis and Marcia Strassman as the bumbling parents are charming and will likely appeal to fans of the original "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." It's a decent choice for a family movie night, but don't expect it to blow you away. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Jeffrey M Honey I Blew Up The Kid was an okay movie. I watched it kind of a long time ago, so I don't have a clear memory of the movie, but I remember it was fine. The first movie was actually a bit worse. I remember this movie was a bit boring. Honey I Blew Up The Kids was a decent movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/19/23 Full Review StephenPaul C The least funny 01 hour: and 29 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Linda Deutsch Associated Press The laughs run out early and the balance of the film relies on special effects to tickle the audience's funny bone. Jun 12, 2018 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Rated: 3/5 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times I was not a fan of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, but that movie shines as a beacon of originality compared to Honey, I Blew Up the Kid, the sequel. Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine Although the new film strains to re-create the magic of its predecessor, Honey, I Blew Up the Kid falls woefully short. Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Malcolm Johnson Hartford Courant With Kleiser's imaginative uses of the electric Vegas scenery and props like colossal baby sneakers, this reversal of the shrink ray outpowers the fun of the original. Jun 6, 2018 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com Boots away a warm familial dynamic to chase tedious villain shenanigans, forgetting what made the first picture so successful.
