Fun, underrated and misunderstood sci-fi horror movie with a spooky set up that leads to a reveal that’s good enough for me but might not be enough for some. Not actually knowing what you think you know best is scary!

Disappointing. First of all the couple. I get that they were supposed to be young and cool and exuberant and in love but it felt forced and overdone to the point of irritation. Laughter and yelling and middle schoolish pranks and jokes and constant sex do not full dimensional characters and a compelling relationship make. For all the jumping all over each other and cute details I still had no idea who these people were. I was looking forward to the horror starting so they could calm down a bit. Then so much repetition of the same lines and slow forward progression was starting to wonder if the actors were adlibbing the whole thing. It seemed like they were doing something interesting with the husbands pushiness and there was going to be danger on both sides but that really went nowhere and the truth of what was happening was extremely anticlimactic. Not scary at all because weren’t connected enough to the characters to care and needlessly gross for the amount of payoff at the end.

Slow burning and ultimately disappointing. The movie is set up as if it's an alien abduction film but ultimately ends up being about the breakdown of a relationship. 98% relationship dramas and 2% aliens.
