Roxana Hadadi Chesapeake Family Magazine Hope Springs Eternal features the instantly likeable Mia Rose Frampton. The humor is a little broad, but the movie's messages will still resonate for a young audience. Rated: 3/5 Aug 17, 2018 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter The appealing Mia Rose Frampton makes it work. Aug 9, 2018 Full Review Kristy Strouse Film Inquiry There's enough sweetness between the blurry lines to make the slight running time of 78 minutes feel like a breeze. Maybe when you're dealing with subject matter as depressing as this, the best route is to put some sheen over it. Aug 23, 2018 Full Review Sandie Angulo Chen Common Sense Media "Sick teen" dramedy promotes communication, friendship. Rated: 3/5 Aug 10, 2018 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue ... awkwardly transitions between lighthearted comedy and more serious drama, relying on contrivances along the way. Aug 10, 2018 Full Review Kenneth R. Morefield Christianity Today Not as risky as it should be but still better than most offerings to its target audience. adam b If you wanna see a film where a shallow girl who has cancer mentions she has cancer to everyone she meets like it's a badge of honor and then when she starts getting better, she bitches that she's not dying anymore all the while trying to lie and say she's still dying to all her friends, go ahead and watch this. If you rather not go through a headache, probably don't Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review rodrigo g Surprised about so many positive reviews. Really formulaic high school comedy, obvious from the second minute. Good acting from the lead (the rest very uneven) but these days we are getting a lot more creative solutions for this genre, that I appreciate. Cancer is different but not really *that* different at this point. The rest, about being popular and believing in yourself, not good. The videoclip at the credits is embarassing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought that the movie was pretty boring and the plot wasnï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)t the best, on the other hand the acting was pretty good and the quality was great. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Even if it was a bit cloying and moderately cheesy, leaving a juvenile taste in one;s mouth. I can appreciate the sentiments and its attempts to depict a unique take on terminal illness and how remission could affect the susceptible mind of our average teenager trying to find herself once learning she isn't about to die after all. Just ignore some of the rather far-fetched elements to the plot. I wasn't buying into them either.
