Ronald C From the beginning I expected historical accuracy, good script. and good acting. After about 45 minutes, I turned it off. Terrible movie. The location, filmed in southern Utah, is nothing like the supposed location, the San Pedro River in southeast Arizona. Set during the Civil War, a group of people are seen in a small town with canvas roofed homes. Where did they get the boards? Where were the fields? What did they do for a living? Nothing. They had kerosene lamps, which was incorrect. They would only have had candles. Guns. Always my favorite. One guy had a Sharps carbine. Highly unlikely, because the federal army would have cornered the market. Same for the guy with a Henry rifle. One guy bad a cartridge revolver, which had not been invented yet. The Apaches attacked and suffered lots of casualties. Wrong! There were so few of them they could not afford to take that kind of casualties. They specialized in ambushes, and stealing livestock. The Apache "chief" was portrayed as being weak, afraid of the "white eyes". There were stereotypes everywhere, including a beautiful Apache maiden. In short, this film belongs in the bullshit rubbish dump of garbage westerns like those made by John Ford, and that "actor" John Wayne. Waste of time and money Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Richard P Could not see most of the beginning, almost a blur for 30 or so minutes. We left way before the end. Will not be looking forward to chapter 2 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
