Best friends Josh (Derek Richardson) and Paxton (Jay Hernandez) decide to spend the summer after college graduation on an all-out backpacking trip across Europe. While stopping in Amsterdam to indulge their tastes for drugs and sex, they meet Oli (Eythor Gudjonsson), a like-minded traveler from Iceland. It was good but why did the worst guy get the only torturer who felt bad and barely did anything to him… also the way he escaped was such dumb luck that it ruined the otherwise gritty, dark vibe of the movie

Well, certainly an edge of your seat hands in front of eyes mouth agape gasp with disgust movie. The touch of revenge and poetic justice gave some catharsis and at least, for once, there was a decent end instead of the usual horror movie dead end.

A horror film I would definitely recommend. It's both enjoyable and intense. It ticks alot of boxes to become a horror classic. It has a great story which leaves you wondering and questioning if this stuff does and can go on in real life. That alone is horrific. It's nicely paced, acted well and a very satisfying ending. Conclusion: Gory, tense and enthralling. A must watch.

I wouldn’t recommend this to people who haven't seen a lot of horror movies before, both due to the gore, but also because of the purpose of the film. Eli Roth tries to capture the same absurd comedy as in Cabin Fever but the comedy isn’t as on the nose, which may lead a lot of viewers to believe that the whole purpose of the film is to show insane methods of torture.
