Barbara Nedeljakova
Perhaps best known for her role in the 2005 horror film "Hostel," Slovakian beauty Barbara Nedeljakova began acting and modeling when she was 14 years old. Born to a professor mother and encouraged to study math, Nedeljakova always preferred art and acting, and dreamed of one day seeing herself on the big screen. After spending several years studying theater, modeling, and performing as a puppeteer in a Prague marionette show, the actress won her first film role in the 2003 Jackie Chan film "Shanghai Knights." Though the part was small, it attracted the attention of the casting director for "Hostel," and the actress was cast as the sadistic Natalya on the spot at her first audition. After this success came "Hostel: Part II" in 2007, the hedonistic thriller "Pimp" in 2010, and an opportunity to sharpen her dramatic skills with a starring role in 2010's "Isle of Dogs." Frequently cast as highly sexual and often violent young women, Nedeljakova once again visited graphic horror territory in 2011 with another sequel, "Children of the Corn: Genesis," and the vacation-turned-nightmare thriller "The Hike." The actress would get a chance to satirize the horror genre with the 2011 comedy "Strippers vs. Werewolves," starring Robert Englund.
