Inspired by a true story, Hostile Territory is a rousing western action-adventure. Former P.O.W. Jack Calgrove moves Heaven and Earth to be reunited with his children following the Civil War. After returning home, Jack finds out his wife has died and his children, presumed orphans, are heading deep into the West aboard a train crossing old enemy lines. Calgrove and another former soldier are joined by a troop of Native American sharpshooters and a freed slave, as they race to intercept the orphan train before all hope is lost.

Aspires to be a sort of family friendly 'Yellowstone' with a very specific, dully earnest moralistic tone, but it's still slow and dramatically klutzy in how insistently it flatters its white male heroes as anachronistic paragons of goodness.

This was absolutely a breath of fresh air. The story, the cinema photography, the acting, the historical aspect were so amazing. Hits off to all the cast and crew for putting together a beautiful work of art. I give it 5 GOLD STARS!!

I'm not a major history buff; however, this movie was well done. While some of the acting was not the greatest, the scenery and story (true as it may be) were magnificent! It was given an R rating; however, that was too harsh a rating. PG-13 perhaps but NOT R.

I never expect much from films that don't have huge budgets, although admittedly even big budget films are bad these days. That being said I was pleasantly surprised with this. As long as you don't go expecting this to be like a big Hollywood western of the past then you'll probably find this film okay. It's something that will pass the time if you're into period drama type things, but this isn't just a constant shootout like typical westerns so go somewhere else if you're into things that is just shooting and blowing things up. Plenty of bad 80s films for that instead.

Just another white man slaughters indian movie and takes his home all sprinkled with fairy dust so that his descendants don't really know the cut throats that they are born from. More of Maga bullshit.
