Anton Bitel Sight & Sound exposes a deep seam of dysfunctional fathering and familial alienation as the Hendersons's Yuletide dinner is violently disrupted by body-snatched neighbours, and home truths are excavated. Oct 20, 2020 Full Review Jack Bottomley Starburst Surely destined to get a cult following, alongside such dark twisted seasonal tales like Krampus and Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale. Rated: 4/5 Jan 20, 2021 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film This is among the smarter and more satisfying films of that ilk available this Halloween season. The disappointment comes simply from the sense that it ought to have been something more. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 26, 2020 Full Review Kat Hughes THN Two fantastically committed performances from Samatha Loxley and Neal Ward help to make Hosts an entertaining and occasionally creepy watch. Rated: 3/5 Oct 25, 2020 Full Review Scott Weinberg Thrillist Delivers a decent handful of legitimately scary, shocking, and unsettling moments. Oct 19, 2020 Full Review Bobby LePire Film Threat Hosts may borrow from some well-known titles and is a little slow to start, but it is worth the price of admission. inta k quite boring and with some weird logic underneath it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/22/24 Full Review Don M DO NOT WATCH! If you're accustomed to top-flight horror like The Witch and Hereditary, or good to very good ones like Hellbender, The Hole in the Ground, and The Deeper You Dig, you'll understand why the people responsible for Hosts need to be arrested. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/22 Full Review sean s The movie started off promising. It got heavily gory and intense not too far into it. Then, the whole jealous, pissed off demons/fallen angels deal seemed kind of a waste of energy and purpose followed by an unspectacular "there you go" ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member his was so boring & i wasn't invested enough to continue watching. so I didn't. i did walk back into the room during a gnarly stabbing scene, but even then I didn't stick around to see what happened after. idk. I'm sure it was fine, but wasn't in the mood I guess. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Starts out great, then just becomes boring and stupid. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Mark C I watched this because rotten tomatoes gave it a good rating but after about 30 minutes of this ridiculous laughable crap I could watch no more. Absolutely stupid tacky failed attempt at horror. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/21 Full Review Read all reviews
