farah r @Farah 07/23/2017 What a stupid, poorly-acted waste of time. This is neither a good horror nor a good movie. Everything is so dumb and unexplained at the end. See more 08/21/2016 Yes, I'll say it and I'm a tough crowd, for "Lifetime", House of Darkness certainly exceeded expectations. Directing, storyline, music, acting, level of suspspense, and it's not predictable? Oh yes, you have my vote. It also is a pretty good rendition of "The Shining" in my opinion. And, in regards to "The Shining", the remake with Peter Weber and Rebecca De Mornay - wow, one best remakes. See more 08/04/2016 House of Darkness had a lot of potential, but suffered from horrendous editing. It really felt like a highlight reel of suspenseful and creepy moments. However, no character dwells on events, so the tension doesn't build or go anywhere. See more 04/20/2016 Just a rip-off of "The Shining". Instead of an isolated hotel, it's a large isolated house. Instead of a weird son, it's a weird daughter. The husband descends into madness and the wife sees weird things in the house. Don't waste your time with this failure at horror.
