There is a kind of movie sequence which Alfred Hitchcock always did well, and which most later directors have chosen not to do at all. Go to Full Review

John U @wbbcmt Jul 6 Love the 1950s New York scenes. Excellent cast excellent acting. I got a little confused on how German scientist end up at a Russian orthodox church wedding. Fantastic Grand Central Station finale reminiscent of Hitchcock’s Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, etc. See more Steve D 03/02/2023 The plot is far better than the script. See more farah r @Farah 01/27/2022 The House on Carrol Street was a decent pastime for a boring afternoon. The story is interesting and intense, the acting is acceptable (especially for the 80s), and the production design is good. See more 11/16/2013 I've always liked Kelly McGillis (Witness and Top Gun come to mind), so I had to watch this movie. The House on Carroll Street' is a slow-paced mystery, where the most excitement is Kelly and the bad guy crawling along the wall 10 stories up in Grand Central station. It is pretty bad if the 1950's United States of America "officially" accepted Nazis as immigrants in order for them to work on developing weapons.
