Alejandro Turdó Hoy Sale Cine With nods to Goodfellas, Street Kings and The Town, How To Rob is so much more than your average Crime movie. This is the story of two people forced to choose different life paths, putting their friendship to the test under the most daring circumstances. Rated: 9/10 Jul 18, 2023 Full Review Sean Burns WBUR’s Arts & Culture A familiar story of two stick-up guys from Quincy who knock over the wrong North End bookie, but beneath the Boston crime movie clichés is a surprising lyricism, building to an unexpectedly emotional conclusion. Mar 2, 2023 Full Review Daniel M. Kimmel North Shore Movies “How To Rob” is ultimately a tragedy where characters who take short cuts to success end up discovering that the price they have to pay wasn’t worth it. It’s a taut debut that’s worth a look from a filmmaker who presumably has much more to say. Rated: 3/5 Jan 21, 2023 Full Review Robin Clifford Reeling Reviews The other remarkable thing about tyro helmer Horgan is his ability to take a small budget, cast believable characters at all levels and tell a story that keeps you interested from beginning to end. Rated: B+ Jan 20, 2023 Full Review Laura Clifford Reeling Reviews It is to Horgan and his actor/producer partners Uche and Koopman’s credit that both characters appear ten years older by the time their adventure ends days later…This gritty little indie deserves a look and word of mouth could lead to a cult following. Rated: B Jan 14, 2023 Full Review James Verniere Boston Herald Peter Horgan makes fine feature film debut with gritty, well-acted Boston crime drama How to Rob. Jude S Decent flick with above average acting. It was good enough to hook me in and keep my interest. A little disappointed by the ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/08/23 Full Review kim Absolutely loved it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/23 Full Review James M Telling all my friends that liked Boondock Saints to check this out, smaller scale but shreds in same vein of loyalty and brotherhood channels. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/16/23 Full Review Jim B The reviews for this movie have obviously been hacked - don't know exactly how they do it, I suspect somehow they delete any bad critics reviews and if you look at the audience reviews they are all from new users - no audience reviewer has any history. So all fake audience reviews. Rotten Tomatoes really needs to crack down on this type of stuff Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/23 Full Review Andrew B Great movie, and amazing production value! Love the plot & very well done! 5 Stars! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Dan O 5 STARS! If you like gangster movies--it's on Amazon!
