Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is Howling V: The Rebirth is a painfully dull, poorly produced and badly acted cheap cash in on a series that I don't even know made any money to begin with. The fact that they couldn't even write in, or afford, werewolves makes the film a must miss. Rated: 1/5 Mar 10, 2021 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed Altogether a lackluster effort. Byron H 1/4 it's terrible, an homage to classic horror settings. It just didn't work especially with no werewolves??? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/03/24 Full Review Two Guys A Over the weekend, I embarked on a thrilling journey through all of The Howling movies. And let me tell you, the fifth installment of this franchise had me on the edge of my seat! It quickly became my second favorite, thanks to its gripping storyline. The plot revolves around a group of carefully selected individuals who are invited to an abandoned castle. The castle witnessed a gruesome event 500 years ago, where the entire population was burned alive to get rid of the demon werewolf. But the question is, is one of the visitors a werewolf? Or are the workers at the newly reopened castle hiding a dark secret? You'll have to watch it to find out! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review GPhonse257 I am not the type of person, who cow tows to the herd mentality, when it comes to voicing my opinions about a subject. I can even be a contrarian to a popular opinion, but not for the sake of being a contrarian...but just for the sake of telling the honest truth as i see it. Which is why i will honestly say that "Howling V: The Rebirth" is probably the scariest werewolf movie that i've ever seen. That does not in any way mean that, i think that it's the best werewolf movie that i've ever seen (i believe that title of the best werewolf movie that i've ever seen, goes to "An American Werewolf In London"). But i genuinely felt creeped out throughout the entire movie when i first seen it (i still do). Because sometimes you could hear that horrific beast of a monster, growl, or you can see glimpses of it in the silent darkness of the castle (that was barely lit). And you knew that it was somewhere close by to it's victims, but you could never quite pinpoint where it was, or who it was, until the last minute. And by that point...it's victims realized, that it was already too late for them. And that scared the crap out of me...imagining myself in their same predicament. And the dark and myserious ambiance and musical tunes throughout the movie, just added to the suspence and fear factor. It's kinda like "Clue", with a terrifying vicious beast running around, killing it's victims one by one, inside of the cold dark castle. Great concept for a werewolf movie. The only one like it in existance. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/17/23 Full Review Steve D Best since the original not that that is saying much. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/06/23 Full Review Matthew James T Don't be fooled by the low reviews! Classic horror movie, amazing soundtrack, eerie location, excellent acting with a decent twist at the end. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/29/22 Full Review Audience Member The problem with this franchise is that they introduce interesting ideas for plots, but with poorly developed characters, bad actors and helmed by bad directors, these sequels always fall flat.
