Wow, I had an incredible movie marathon last weekend! I watched all of The Howling movies back to back and it was a wild ride. I have to say, while part five was definitely up there in my favorites, part six, unfortunately, fell a bit short for me. Don't get me wrong, there were some thrilling moments, but I couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed. If only it wasn't tied to The Howling franchise, I feel like the storyline could have been even more captivating. The film follows Ian, a wanderer who finds himself kidnapped by a twisted sideshow owner. The owner has some sinister plans for Ian and wants to use him to boost his sales. It's definitely worth a watch, but I can't help but feel like it could have been even better.

VHS. Three words of doom for films on DVD. Not the worst VHS transfer but still bad. It was just about palatable. The sound was a bit ropey at best. Sounded mono as it came from my centre speaker even with my surround up scaling. There is one stellar scene that I will never forget. A lot of the rest of it is quite slow but that is fine as the main scenes are actually pretty cool. It has a badass villain. Cheese but very enjoyable cheese. Memorable for one amazing reason.

Okay then this was much better than the abysmal effort of part 5. This is a 2/5 i'll probably never watch it again. Doesn't feel like it was a genuine movie in the franchise. Feels like they slapped the howling name on a random warewolf movie.

This is probably the most fun entry since the second film minus the ineptitude. It's surprisingly charming in its characters and delivers its monsters with horrific glee. Possibly the best sequel in the series.

Howling VI: The Freaks is a mildly entertaining film; a great improvement to the fourth and fifth chapter in the series, but those were really terrible movies. It's quite forgettable, but worth a watch for werewolf completionists.
