Audience Member Not bad but slightly dry comedy drama. Clarke was good as was Harries but it seemed to drift about and not go anywhere that fast. Miller should direct again though Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting only to see Noel Clarke play against type (extremely well). Otherwise, avoid. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Noel Clarke stars in a some what disappointing film about a couple of struggling comedians trying to make the big time. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Dosnt work as a comedy or a drama/comedy about comedy failing - not funny or engaging enough. Johnny Harris delivers such a far removed performance your unsure what to make of it. As a concept it's an interesting film idea but fails to tick any boxes which is a great shame. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A comedy about unfunny comedians, which is sadly ironic for this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Two wouldbe comedians struggle to make their mark. I enjoyed the film much more than the critics who have commented here; the film was desperately unfunny in places because the comics, however much they tried, weren't funny. I thought that their unfunniness was portrayed very well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard It's yet another of those British films with a good idea squandered because someone gives the go-ahead before the script is fully developed. Rated: 2/5 Jul 8, 2011 Full Review Xan Brooks Guardian Goes behind the scenes of the open-mic circuit where it proceeds to trip over the cables and get tangled in the curtains. Rated: 2/5 Jul 7, 2011 Full Review Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) [A] failed comedy, disguised as a dopey drama, shot with the most dispiriting fuzzy flatness, and scripted like a soap. It's all epically feeble. Rated: 1/5 Jul 7, 2011 Full Review Jason Solomons Observer (UK) Miller catches the dinge of the pub stand-up circuit nicely and certainly nails the desperation. Jul 10, 2011 Full Review David Edwards Daily Mirror (UK) Expect bigger laughs staring at the roof of your own oven with gas hissing into your ears. Rated: 1/5 Jul 8, 2011 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk You'd think comedian Ben Miller's day job as one half of double act Armstrong and Miller would have stood him in good stead for his directing debut - a film about a comedy double act. It hasn't. His screen duo aren't the least bit funny or enaging. Jul 8, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews
