KARL O Enough to keep me interested but left me cold. Some threads I'd like to have seen sown up. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/07/22 Full Review jorge g Great drama boosted by excellent performances and presented in a unique way, through the use of chapters that reveal the truth little by little. Apart from being a crime mystery, it is also a potent social class and character study. A truly fine film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Judy K This is a strong, moving film, about a hit-and-run tragedy and the lives of the people involved. The actors are all very real, and Bruni-Tedeschi is so beautiful that she lights up the whole movie. The music is powerful and lends the movie more depth than the rather slight story might have had otherwise. I'm sure it could be analyzed as social comment about the rich, and about the effect of wealth and lack of it, but I just was captured by the depth of the acting and drawn into the world of the people. Highly recommend it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/03/21 Full Review Audience Member The non-linear narration doesn't really work and the characters quite predictable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Serge L Nice story presented from three viewpoints. It has been done before but not sure in europe. Very well produced and acted. People here are complex but still choose what is best for themselves and have not too many scrupules. Except maybe the one that provokes the accident, but then again, he provoked an accident that was grave. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/31/16 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online the film is so gripping, so mounting in its suspense that even as you struggle to keep together all its intertwining stories, you can't look away. Sep 2, 2017 Full Review Patrick Z. McGavin Chicago Sun-Times The film is further undone by an overwrought ending and toneless conclusion that proves too soft to energize the movie's implied though underdeveloped social critique. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 3, 2015 Full Review J. R. Jones Chicago Reader Valeria Bruni Tedeschi contributes an affecting performance as the rich boy's spiritually bereft mother, whose self-worth has been smothered by luxury. Apr 2, 2015 Full Review Dan Brightmore NME (New Musical Express) Virzi's compellingly bleak analysis attempts to humanise the carnage of capitalism and, though prone to melodrama, will make you consider the sad fact that in some ways we all boil down to the sum of our financial worth. Rated: 3.5/5 May 26, 2021 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Human Capital plays like an icily precise neo-noir, but it's really an acidic black comedy as concerns the overriding selfish nature of humans. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 18, 2019 Full Review John Bleasdale CineVue Human Capital stumbles on its blandly predictable, two dimensional characters and the implausible melodrama of its latter stages.
