Leslie Felperin Variety Flashback-threaded tale of a half-Serbian, half-Albanian immigrant living in Gaul is an incoherent, mostly poorly acted muddle that doesn't even look very good, despite the work of normally ace lenser Thierry Arbogast. Feb 12, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews

kuribohchan An awful waste of time. Please do your homework before watching movies, especially this one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I have never been so grossly disappointed and meanwhile so utterly disgusted that someone could actually publish this piece of junk movie. I never give reviews but this is one I had to warn watchers about. Save yourself from the disappointment. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member all elements of a good movie were combined in this masterpiece the songs, the trans between Serbia & Marseilles, actors choice, the potion of Action, Sex, Blood everything in this movie express about a good director who run that with a good well-controlled eye I hope to repeat that again Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Disappointing. Could have been a great illustration of the savagery of the Balkans civil war, and war in general, and its effects on the people stuck in the middle. Does cover that, and quite graphically at times, but this gets mixed up with other, more minor, plots. The jumping back-and-forth between three or four time periods doesn't help the coherence of the story at all. Makes the movie quite confusing, and dulls the punches of the war scenes. Decent performances though. Rie Rasmussen is great, and gorgeous, in the lead role. Nikola Djuricko is suitably menacing as Srdjan. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Big disappointment. Not what I expected at all. The movie doesn't have one particular topic. It's about the conflict in the old Yugoslavia, about the life of an immigrant in France, about organized crime, about relationship issues, etc. It gets lost in many topics and doesn't exploit none well. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is very violent. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
