Erin C Aug 27 If you are stuck watching this movie it helps to have a good book around, or a craft like scrapbooking; maybe play a couple games of Solitaire. I typically don't mind an overall plot structure that is cliche, as long as the movie is well done and contains some creativity. That is not the case here. 75% of the movie is doors opening and closing suddenly. Bad writing. See more Rubie A Mar 20 The story derivative but had some potential if execution didn’t fail it. I’m not sure I see what the writers were trying to get to—- in term of “facing one’s demons”, only seeing a large slimy creature with an incoherent plot. The dialogue lacked authenticity, and good delivery. It landed flat on its face and the acting was mediocre at best. I have seen highschool musical with more credibility. The music however, made it look entertaining and maybe what kept me watching. I won’t say there was any genuine scary moments other than the expected cliche jump starts that lingered throughout the movie. Now, you want to talk horror? the true horror was the ending! Horrifically blah ending! That not simply don’t revolve around a new beginning but also don’t answer all the movie discrepancies and main questions. The acting was terrible and some of the dialogue was cringy, but the story was interesting. The story itself was good enough to keep me watching. I just overlooked the acting and the poor acting.
