Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review delysid d great movie thats up there with the likes of django, the great silence and a fistful of dollars Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/02/18 Full Review Audience Member An enjoyable Spaghetti Western that hits all the notes you want from a film of the genre. A solid story and a solid performance from Lee Van Cleef make this a genre essential. Recommended for Western fans. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow. Despite looking pretty similar to "For a Few Dollars More" and "Death Rides a Horse" at the beginning, the story is not just the usual revenge or money extortion plot. It starts out iffy, with some pretty poor dialogue at the beginning. That all changes when Van Cleef arrives and the plot (and bloodshed) begins. Plenty of good action here, although the overall style imitates Leone and succeeds only partially. That being said, I found the main characters quite interesting, and there is some genuine character development that gets interesting by the end. Unlike Leone, you might not see the ending coming. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member one of my fave spaghetti westerns very violent & very bloody. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Great soundtrack, stylishly made (though derivative of Leone), and pretty fun. It has some shortcomings for sure in the writing department, and the lead actor is kind of spotty, but Lee Van Cleef is great. Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Paired with Riz Ortolani's snazzy score, Enzo Serafin's cinematography captures a magnificent mise-en-scene, and Day of Anger feels excitingly energetic despite its rather commonplace narrative. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 28, 2020 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Features a magnificent score from Riz Ortolani. Rated: 3.5/4.0 Sep 5, 2020 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins The pacing is just slow enough - through the repetition of numbered lessons in gunslinging - that much of the excitement has an opportunity to slip away. Rated: 6/10 Aug 24, 2020 Full Review Sean Axmaker Seanax.com This hasn't the operatic flamboyance of Leone but it has a more complex portrait of power and corruption and an ambivalence toward loyalty and justice. Jan 26, 2017 Full Review Austin Trunick Under the Radar One of the best Spaghetti entries not directed by Sergio Leone. Rated: 7/10 Jun 8, 2015 Full Review Sean Axmaker Parallax View Day of Anger is another reminder of why Lee Van Cleef became a major spaghetti western star. He doesn't just dominate Day of Anger (1967), he owns the film.. Apr 25, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews
