Chris M @ChristyMac007 Dec 12 This is like a perfect sick day movie... if you have the ability to move around, you're gonna lose interest, and Sprite nor saltines will bring you back into the fold. The young actress is pretty fantastic (it's a bottle episode she carries with a robot, so give her some room), and the robot is pretty well written where you're naturally suspicious from Day 1 (who chooses to be called "Mother?") because of how Siri and Alexa have been butting into our holidays like, well, you get it, right? Hillary Swank is always a surprise-- she's been hurt, invited in, and does a lot of non-verbal acting that reminds you why she was the "it" girl for a while. Not nearly enough light sabers, ninjas, or golden retrievers to warrant more stars, but it's a cool SCI FI jaunt that reminds you to be wary of strangers and say "please" when you order stuff from your AI. Reasoning being, it’s lackluster plot, lack of emotion, and at times horrible writing.
