What to Know

Critics Consensus

It's positioned as the start of a franchise, but I Am Number Four's familiar plot and unconvincing performances add up to one noisy, derivative, and ultimately forgettable sci-fi thriller.

Nell Minow Movie Mom Rated: B- Feb 18, 2012 Full Review Philip French Guardian The logic is dodgy, and the most frightening aspect is the sequel promised at the end. Rated: 2/5 Feb 25, 2011 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review There’s simply nothing exceptional about the film, which becomes a problem when its foundation comes almost exclusively from established pop-culture material. Addison H I don't know why there are so much negative comments, overall I think it's a very well made movie. The 2 hours passed super quickly because I was so immersed in it, yes there might be some flaws like how romance took over the movie but it's what makes the movie unique. I like the concept of someone with developing superpowers just like others trying to find their own kinds. The fact that each one have different abilities really keeps you on the edge of your seat. Please make the sequel!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/29/25 Full Review Audience Member I dont know why people hate this movie its my childhood ngl if only they would make a 2nd movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/09/25 Full Review Audience Member Definitely an underrated film. I thoroughly enjoyed. Wish it could have had at least a sequel/series or something to continue the story. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Troy V I love this movie! I wish there would be a sequel Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Carlos N Another guilty pleasure…..who cares if it’s silly. Fun to watch and the premise of hiding who you are in high school is something we can all relate to. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/25 Full Review Laura P Love this film, great hero, coming of age story. Wish they’d to all the series :( Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Read all reviews
