Wounded in battle and having permanently lost the use of his legs, Rafi (Ikka Sohar) is confined to a hospital bed, dwelling on memories and raging over anyone who tries to help him, comfort him or otherwise offer him any sympathy. This goes for his friends, relatives and even other patients, but no one sees his resentment like the one woman who still loves him, an old girlfriend named Nira (Anat Waxman).
