Audience Member A good singer, a very young Henry Fonda, and Lucille Ball in a breezy comedy that entertains. It's a good movie selection -- especially for 1935. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review ashley h I Dream Too Much is an excellent film. It is about Jonathan Street who is a struggling composer when he meets and marries Annette. Lily Pons and Henry Fonda give amazing performances. The screenplay is well written. John Cromwell did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the romance and humor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member 90 minutes of some horrible Operatic singing and Henry Fonda looking like he'd rather be anywhere else. Francisco J. Ariza Cine-Mundial Incomplete... but eminently satisfying. [Full review in Spanish] Nov 19, 2020 Full Review Ann Ross Maclean's Magazine It's almost like seeing an opera picture on the screen for the first time; though this is probably just the effect of seeing Lily Pons on the screen for the first time. Aug 12, 2019 Full Review Sam Bathe Fan The Fire I Dream Too Much means well but it can't move beyond its televisual a esthetic and a bland plot that doesn't really go anywhere.
