Audience Member Terrible film, tries to make a social criticism but fails miserably, horrible performances, has a lot of sexual appeal, unnecessary sex scenes. In the end it's another film that tries to be deep and complex but doesn't deliver anything! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Horror/thrillers that center on technology can be a tricky beast to master because they can either come off as comical or just as out-of-touch paranoia. "i-Lived," strangely, doesn't come off like either and, instead, is just a dragging, boring feature that lacks atmosphere. First off, the cast is fairly decent but not very memorable; however, the film is done no favors by supplying a main character that came off too obnoxious and snotty to be likable. The film does shine at fleeting moments due to a cool reveal in its mystery and thanks to one or two mildly creepy scenes but, overall, the film just wasn't that interesting, engaging or entertaining. This is greatly due to the length of the movie being unable to be justified due to its limited concept and scope of its story. Overall, this one might have worked as a short instead. Hello! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review farah r The storyline is genius for it targets technology as the devil that's enslaving humanity. There's a lot of truth in that statement that's been greatly dramatized into a horror movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The film starts badly with an annoying, talentless millennial making appalling reviews of apps in the hope of getting internet famous. He downloads an app called I-Lived (LAME) where you input your goals. He superficially asks for abs, then a girlfriend because he is a loser. When he meets a girl it is so unbelievably stupid, like a thirteen year old's version of a hot girl. Serious suspension of disbelief is required to think that the Joan Jet type with a kids wet dream version of a car would find this no talent, broke and ugly loser attractive. Yet she does. He annoys all the way through. He is asked to do 6 good deeds. He has a dying mother and a landlady who he has not paid rent to for three months. Good deed opportunities on the doorstep really. Yet he is so shallow he goes the line of least effort (lazy millennial), and tries to help an old lady across the road, then opens doors for people as his pathetic lazy attempt at good deeds. He is told by the app to wear nice clothes, so he steals a 2300 dollar suit. Etc. Eventually it turns out that the app is symbolic of making a deal with the Devil but by this stage you are banging your head against the coffee table. I get that this is meant to be social media = making a deal with the devil, the idea has promise but it is woeful to endure this person. I would give this zero stars if I could.
