Katrina M This is one of my favs! Cracks me up every single time! 🤣 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review martin a An outstanding black comedy, with a wonderful cast, and a story of a woman that finds her ideal marriage and faithful husband have all been a lie. So she sets out to kill him with a series of mishaps. This really is a wonderful film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I went with 2 1/2 stars for this movie I think that I have only watched this movie once. I would def. watch this movie again, River P. is awesome and I thought that this movie was funny. Such a throwback movie from the 90's I have not seen this movie in a while though 2 1/2 stars. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the perfect example of how you can take a fantastic cast (Ulman somehow shines in the first half with real heart), an incredible true story perfect for a black comedy and the Green light from a Major studio to make a motion picture and without a credible director you are left with terrible mess. The shambolic direction and zero vision for this picture by Lawrence Kasdan ruined any chance of this picture succeeding: he had zero understanding of the people, community, context for the plot, he turns Kevin Kline into a tragic parody of super Mario (cast an Italian actor???) and drains all the natural talent, warmth, credibility from everyone in it. He should never have been able to have made this or any picture again. When you know how hard those that write and produce work to get a picture made and he does this to your movie he should be ashamed of himself. Such a huge shame with so much opportunity (RiverPhoenix and Keane Reeves together pre Idaho, Joan Plowright an institution of an actress, William Hurt for Christ's sake reduced to a 3 line moron stoner). I wanted to love this movie but there is little hold on to and by the end nothing at all. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Excelente reparto para una pelicula casi original. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member OK so I saw this being advertised and so I DVRs it. It does not disappoint as Lifetime trashy camp. It was over the top and "loosely" based on a true story but overall I thought it was well done and enjoyable ...for Lifetime Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Gene Siskel Chicago Tribune With a cast like this you keep waiting for something important to happen, which never does. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 25, 2022 Full Review Alberto Abuín Espinof The best of the film is its short duration and Kevin Kline, who proves to be one of the best actors of the last thirty years, dominating comedy like nobody else. [Full Review in Spanish] Sep 4, 2019 Full Review Richard Freedman Newhouse News Service All this makes for some rather labored black comedy in which the stars seem to be having more fun acting out of character than the audience will have watching them.
