10/14/2011 Uber popular Dutch soap star (Kamerling) leads this unique psychological thriller about the pain of loving a woman with mental illness. The story centers around the tension her suspicion and jealousy creates in the relationship. Over time, it becomes clear that the young woman is ill, and details Kamerling's attempts to end the relationship without pushing her over the edge. The story is told in flashback during an outing with friends (in the dutch countryside? lol) Interestingly, Kamerling suffered from depression and committed suicide in 2010. This was his finest work, and his best effort to shake the stigma of television acting. See more 08/17/2009 A movie covers such bizarre characters and story and then you forget them so easily. See more 06/06/2008 I wouldn't recommend this movie to my friends, even if they could understand Dutch or had an interest in Dutch films. Go read the book instead, it is much much better, for one... The acting in this film was so bad and the transliteration from book to film somehow "got lost." The book is very emotional about how a psychological disorder/emotionally disturbed individual "evolves" and can ruin lives/love, etc. But somehow that didn't translate itself on film...
